The Kennedy Exchange

Sell or trade your watch without the runaround.

Most offers you get on a watch are an opening move. Ours isn’t. Send the reference, a few photos, and what comes with it, and you’ll get a real number back — the one we’d actually pay — along with how we got to it. If it doesn’t work for you, no hard feelings and no follow-up calls.

How it works

01

Tell us what you have

Reference number, year if you know it, whether you have the box and papers, and a few phone photos. Good light, no filter. If you can’t find the reference, photograph the caseback and the papers and we’ll identify it.

02

Get an offer within a day

We’ll send a cash number, and a trade value against anything in the catalog if you’d rather roll it into another piece. Trade values run higher than cash — that’s normal in this trade and we’ll show you both.

03

Meet in Los Angeles or ship insured

Local sellers can meet in person somewhere public and get paid on the spot. Everywhere else, we send a prepaid, fully insured, signature-required label. The watch is covered in both directions.

04

Paid the day it clears inspection

We check the watch against your description the day it lands. If it matches, you’re paid same day by wire or check, your choice. If something’s different from what was described, we call you and you decide — revised number or the watch goes straight back, shipping on us.

What we buy

Omega, Tudor, IWC, Rolex, Cartier, Breitling, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, and comparable pieces. Modern references and well-kept vintage both. We’ll look at anything, but we’re most useful on watches with an active resale market.

Straight answers

What’s my watch worth?

Somewhere between what the last few comparable ones actually sold for and what a dealer can resell it for. We work from completed sales, not asking prices, and we’ll tell you which ones we used.

Why is your offer lower than the listings I see online?

Those are asking prices, and they usually sit for a while before selling — often below the ask. Our offer is cash today with no waiting, no fees, and no buyer backing out.

Do you buy watches without box and papers?

Yes. A full set is worth more, but plenty of good watches lost their box years ago. We’ll price it as it is.

What about a watch that needs service?

Also yes. We’ll factor the service into the number and tell you what we’re allowing for it.
