Privacy Policy

Effective [DATE THE SITE GOES LIVE]

Kennedy Timepieces (“we”, “us”) is a DBA of Insights to Growth. This policy explains what we collect when you use kennedytimepieces.com, what we do with it, and what choices you have.

What we collect

Information you give us. When you submit the Sell or Trade form or the contact form, we collect your name, email address, phone number, any details and photos you provide about a watch, and anything else you type into the message field. If we go on to do business together, we also collect what’s needed to complete the transaction — for example a mailing address for shipping, and payment details such as where to send a wire or check.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, ours records basic technical information when you visit: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and the site that referred you. This comes from standard web server logs and, if enabled, a website analytics tool.

Cookies. We use cookies only for things the site needs to function and, if enabled, for aggregate analytics that tell us which pages people read. We do not use advertising cookies or sell data to advertisers.

How we use it

We use your information to answer your message, make you an offer on a watch, complete a purchase or sale, arrange shipping, keep the records a business is required to keep, and improve the website. We may email you about a specific transaction you started. We do not send marketing email unless you ask us to.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell your personal information, and we never have. We share it only with the parties needed to do what you asked: shipping and insurance carriers, payment processors and our bank, the marketplaces where a listing is hosted if your inquiry relates to one, our accountant, and service providers who run the website and email. We also disclose information where the law requires it — for example a valid subpoena, or reporting obligations that apply to dealers in precious metals and high-value goods.

How long we keep it

Inquiries that don’t lead to a transaction are kept for up to two years. Records connected to an actual purchase or sale are kept as long as tax, accounting, and anti-fraud rules require, which is generally at least seven years.

How we protect it

The site is served over HTTPS. Access to inquiries and transaction records is limited to the owner. No system is perfectly secure, and we won’t claim otherwise — please don’t send government ID numbers or full account numbers through the website forms. If we need something like that for a transaction, we’ll arrange a more secure way to send it.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and we’ll do so unless we’re required to keep it. California residents have these rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. Since we don’t sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is nothing to opt out of, but you’re welcome to confirm that with us. To make a request, email shaun@kennedytimepieces.com.

Children

This site isn’t directed at children under 16 and we don’t knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes we’ll post the new version here and update the effective date.
